To make it easier for you to access our tax exemption service, we’ve created a dedicated space: the private Amazon by ColisExpat store, available directly from your customer account.

What is the Amazon by ColisExpat private store?

The Amazon by ColisExpat store is a customized version of Amazon.fr, enhanced with exclusive features related to our Off Tax service.

Thanks to these features, you can:

See how much you could save if the items in your cart are eligible for tax exemption—meaning they are subject to French VAT. A message will appear when you reach the checkout page.
Once your order is confirmed, the tax exemption is automatically applied—no action required on your part. We handle the entire process for you!
Your purchase is processed by IMX France, our parent company, ensuring proper handling with no risk of error or manual processing.

Lastly, delivery to our warehouse in France may be free under certain conditions. Once we receive your package, our team completes the customs declaration for you. Then, as usual, you can schedule the forwarding to the French overseas territories directly from your ColisExpat account.

How to Use Our Amazon by ColisExpat Private Stor

Before Placing an Order

1. Sign up for ColisExpat and complete your profile

Log in to your account and go to the “My Addresses” tab. Make sure to add your overseas (DOM-TOM) address in the “Shipping Addresses” field. Once this address is saved, a new section called “Off Tax Option” will appear in your account. Be sure to activate it.

2. Access the "Amazon-ColisExpat" store

A button labeled “Access the Amazon ColisExpat Store” will be available in your account to take you directly to our private store.

When Placing an Order

3. Browse and shop through the platform

Naviguez, trouvez le(s) article(s) de votre choix et ajoutez le(s) au panier. La plupart d’entre eux sont éligibles à notre service de détaxe, vous n’aurez pas de mal à acheter et à bénéficier du remboursement de la TVA.

Search for the items you want and add them to your cart. Most of them are eligible for our tax exemption service, so you’ll easily be able to make purchases and get a refund on French VAT.

There’s no minimum purchase amount required, but the maximum amount is €1,000 excluding VAT. Only orders equal to or below this limit are eligible.

Once your cart is ready, place your order by clicking on “Pay with ColisExpat”. This is when our system calculates the applicable tax savings.
Please note: this process can take up to one minute.

At checkout—before payment—our system will tell you if your order is eligible for the tax exemption and show how much VAT you could save.

4. Delivery of your package to our ColisExpat warehouse in France

After placing your order and entering your address, the package will be shipped to our warehouse.

This delivery is handled automatically and may even be free of charge under certain conditions.

5. Pay the full price including VAT

Complete your purchase by paying the full price (including VAT), then wait for your package to arrive at our ColisExpat warehouse.

Once Your Package Is Received by ColisExpat

6. Customs declaration prepared and receipt notification sent to your account

As soon as we receive your package, our team will prepare your customs declaration. You’ll get a notification confirming the delivery, and the package will appear in the “My Packages in Stock” section of your Client Space, along with the completed declaration.

7. Forward to your home overseas

You can now schedule the reshipment of your package to your DOM-TOM address, using the carrier of your choice—just like usual. The VAT will then be refunded, minus a small service fee!

This store is only accessible from your ColisExpat customer account.
If you place an order directly on Amazon.fr without using our private store, you’ll need to follow the manual Off Tax process, as all eligibility conditions must be met step by step.
