Belgium: blockades due to strikes
Updated: 02/16/2025
The national mobilisation against the government, scheduled for Thursday 13 February, has led to blockades at several sorting centres. These strike actions are currently affecting Wallonia and various sectors, in particular the Liège and Charleroi sorting centres.
As a result, delays are expected in international parcel shipments. ColisExpat uses sorting centres in Belgium via the BPost network. Although the number of parcels transiting through Belgium is relatively limited, some shipments pass through this country before being forwarded internationally.
For the moment, no impact has been observed in Flanders.
Mayotte: Cyclone Chido
Update date: 02/11/2025
La Poste (Colissimo) has announced that it will resume sending mail and parcels to and from Mayotte from 14 January, one month after the passage of cyclone Chido. However, customers will have to contact the distribution platforms to receive their mail, pending the gradual resumption of delivery.
DLH has still not resumed its services to Mayotte. No official date has been announced for the resumption of deliveries, and customers are invited to follow the official updates for further information on the resumption of parcel deliveries.
